Years back Ron was active in prison reform activities in California and has a strong grasp of prison related issues. He has participated in panel discussions (including one panel with the head of the state prison system), visited in a number of prisons, male and female, and once was called in to help stop a riot, and with one other fellow mediated between angry Blacks and Latinos. This prison reform experience has led to interesting biographical anecdotes and useful insights.
