Ron holds a dean’s list B.A. degree in English literature, 1975, and pursued postgraduate studies for several years at California State University, Los Angeles. The Dean of Postgraduate Studies, English, nominated Ron as the outstanding postgraduate student of the year, 1976-77. With a solid basis in English literature and a home library since grown to nearly 10,000 books, Ron has over the years received various honors and recognition for his work as a journalist, author, book editor, writer / correspondent / columnist and/or editor of various special supplements and book-related material. This includes a range of projects from editing award-winning educational supplements to editing award-winning books.
Ron has collaborated on books as an editor, written and edited book covers, jacket material, etc., and directed print/publicity campaigns reaching millions of readers in the U.S. and abroad, including for Cherry Heering, Plumrose Foods, A.B. Cernelle (Division of Nobel Co.). As editor of RKedit, specializing in book editing, Ron has been a member of PMA (IBPA) for ten years. As an author/co-author he is a member of the writer’s organization PEN USA, and has been listed in Who’s Who: Who’s Who in the West. Ron has traveled widely as a writer/editor in North, South, and Central America, in the Middle East, and in Eastern and Western Europe, and benefits from a multifaceted, international perspective. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Mary and their cat, Mazel.
